Client: The Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research
Work: Graphic Design
Date: 2023 - 2024
Drawing inspiration from the vibrant energy of the city, my design approach for the multiple posters was rooted in the iconic elements of New York. The strong serifs featured in the typography pay homage to the distinctive lettering of the New York subway system, infusing the visuals with an urban rhythm that echoes the fast-paced nature of city life.
As the graphic architect behind "ZOOMERS," I aimed to encapsulate the essence of the play's narrative within each poster. The visuals serve as a visual ode to the story of four roommates navigating the complexities of emotions and identity in the relentless pulse of New York City, all born around the turn of the millennium.
In addition to the posters, I crafted a dynamic array of social media assets that extended the narrative beyond the stage. These digital expressions served as a bridge between the virtual and physical realms, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of "ZOOMERS."
The success of the play, marked by a review from The New York Times, is a testament to the resonance of its story and the visual allure of its promotional material.
